In Sue Fawn Chung's 2015 book Chinese in the Woods Logging and Lumbering in the American West , p. 71, Chung captions this same image as "In 1892 this group of Chinese woodchoppers posed for a photograph with W.H. Keyser (right), brother-in-law of Superintendent George D. Oliver, at George Chubbuck's Sierra House timber ranch. They worked in South Lake Tahoe." Chung credits the image to the South Lake Tahoe Historical Society and Museum.
