Notes: Original image is 4 MB. HCS 1/14/2022. Image at Stanford site. See also Goldbaum and Huffman's 2012 book, Waiting for the Cars, p. 286. Enhanced at high resolution, a viewer can barely make out what appears to be ladies in long dresses on the locomotive San Mateo, suggesting a possible Sunday train excursion. Notably, this image is taken from almost the same place as Hart's image no. 221 except looking east. To see a higher resolution image, visit Stanford's online image.
