Notes: Original image is 13.2 MB. Published in Fire and Ice, June 9, 2004 Echoes, and Sierra Sun. After 1882 Front St. fire reconstruction, before 1185 W. River St. fire. HCS entered 7/4/2021. Note the footbridge over the Truckee River and the buildings in the front foreground of the photo. These buildings are believed to be the rebuilt Chinese residences across the Truckee River after the 1879 (?) fire. There is a newspaper article about whites helping to carry lumber across the bridge to help the Chinese rebuild. Still looking for article. 7/1/2024 HCS
