Notes: Original image is 6.4 MB. Also note far left you can just see the end of the building marquee, Thornton's Garage adjacent to the car dump / junkyard. Truckee resident explained: "I remember when that [car dump] was there, then they put a big fence up to hide it from Donner Pass Road in the early 1970s. Thinking they removed all these cars by 1978 as I had to go to the Pick & Pull at Hirschdale, then they closed and we had to go to Reno to find parts for our cars." 5/23/2024
