Ice Palace

image not foundDescription: Downtown Truckee first Ice Palace ice rink built by McGlashan. Note Truckee Livery building back left. The Toboggan slide was affixed to the Ice Palace's exterior. The entire structure was built on the town's plaza enabling long-skirted ladies of the 1890s to easily walk to the skating rink from hotels or the excursion Pullman railroad train cars.
